This boy finally clicked into being a reader, and this mom couldn't be happier. Cole's been diligently working on his reading skills for about two years now (many times against his will), and it's finally paid off. I never thought the day would come when I couldn't get his face out of a book. But here we are. I'm so excited that he's found a love of reading. Yay, Cole! I'm so excited for all the adventures we are going to share with books.
This boy finally learned how to pump his legs on the swing. It's a miracle. How many times have I been asked to push him on the swing? Countless. Now he's doing it on his own. I'm so excited for him. But also a little sad that my last baby doesn't need me to push him anymore...especially because so many times when he asked me, I said no because I was doing something else, or didn't feel like being outside. The last time I heard, "Mom, will you push me on the swing?" is probably the last time ever. I don't even remember if I said yes or no.
These boys had a sleepover. I couldn't get Zach off the motorized toys. He was a total natural at the razor scooter...it was hysterical watching him whip around the culdesac. The boys had so much fun together. It was really delightful listening to them converse about various video games, super heroes, and other "boy" things they share in common. There was also the word "dude" used at least twice in every sentence.
