North Family Photos
Yesterday I got to take pictures for my friend and her beautiful family. This is my sixth family photo shoot, but I was still a little nervous. I had all these photo ideas in mind that flew right out of my head when we started, and then immediately came right back to me when I left them. I'm still having a camera issue, so that doesn't help the nerves, and it was very very very foggy out. But this family is so beautiful and nice, I loved every second of our time together. It was so much fun! (And very easy taking pictures of older kids...who knew?) SO MUCH FUN!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Happy Scavenger Hunt Sunday!
This week it was a little challenging to capture all the pictures because the flu has descended upon my boys, so all but one of these were taken today from the confines of our home. Not my most creative work. And the park picture was taken a week or so ago. I haven't left the house in a number of days. Bonus for me? I get to stay in my pjs.

wink wink
I wanted to get some pictures of my Caden, but he was having nothing to do with it - per his usual. Then it was suggested that we trade pictures for a Ring Pop. I can't specifically remember who's idea it was, but most likely it was his. He's a tough negotiator, and I am totally willing to bribe reward with treats.
Here are some of my favorite shots.
I especially like the wink wink he's trying to pull off.

Project Life - Week 1
I didn't really make any new year resolutions, other than to use coupons. Yep, that's about it. I plan to make coupons my new friends in 2013. I've been more of a pay-full-price-because-I-gotta-have-it-right-now kinda gal, but as someone wise pointed out to me, why should I spend more of our money than I have to? I've already saved $30.00 at the grocery store and Costco...I feel like a champion. I'm so excited to see how much money we save, I'm practically ready to generate an Excel spreadsheet or something with colorful bar graphs and/or pie charts to chronicle the massive savings. Very very excited about this.
My other goal is to complete another Project Life. I haven't actually finished one since 2010. A few months ago I started a photo a day project, but had to abandon ship due to technical difficulties. So here is what I've got so far. I'm going digital. I'm hoping this will make it easier to keep up on. I don't think I'll post my pictures daily to my blog...too much sizing, resizing, editing for web, editing for print nonsense, so I'll just share my weekly digital pages. Fingers crossed I can keep up with it.
Here is my title page.
And...trumpet sounds please...here is my completed first week! It's a miracle!
Week One is in the books. Coupons have been utilized. I'm off to a good start in 2013!

Happy New Year!
Scenes from our New Year's Eve rager.
At Chase's suggestion, we had a disco ball party.
There was some Just Dance 4 happening under the disco ball.
The boys were so hoping to catch some fireworks outside the window. It didn't happen.
We let the boys stay up until midnight...East Coast time. After they went to sleep, Chad and I finished celebrating with Diet Coke, appetizers, and watching TV. It was a real rager. I remember a time when I would've felt SO lame being at home on New Year's Eve. Now I like it. Must be all that maturing that happens in a girl's late 30's.
We did manage to stay up until midnight, and then some. I guess we're not that old yet.
Happy New Year, friends!
