I didn't create these Valentine treats, but they're too cute not to share as my "create" photo just because I didn't personally make them.  Technicalities...who worries about those?  Not me, people!  Gramma actually made these treats for her three little valentine boys.  I love what Gramma creates for my boys by always making them feel special with how thoughtful she is; she is creating wonderful memories for them.  So really, the photo works in two ways.  Thank you, Gramma.  We appreciate you!

10 on 10 February Favorite!

Eeeeeeeeee!  Rebekah Gough chose one of my pictures as one of her ten favorites from February's 10 on 10!  Thank you, Rebekah!!  It absolutely made my day.  And it completely made up for the fact that I have sick children at home, 785 loads of laundry to do, and my puppy just went potty inside the house.  Hooray for 10 on 10 favorites!  IT TRULY MADE MY DAY!!

Be My Valentine

Chad gave me an orchid on Friday.  Why?  Just because he is really super nice, and he knows I love them.

     Today I noticed a little red and yellow heart in the center of the flower.  Valentine's Day perfection.  

Love you, Chad Boyd.  I'm so happy you're my valentine. 

Tutorial Tuesday

Ashley Sisk's tutorial for this week was all about food.  Hmm...food isn't really my niche.  Making food..making pretty food...making the food I do make look pretty.  I don't really do any of that very well.  So I cheated and bought a lovely little cupcake from the store.  I used the light box that Chad made from the tutorial a few weeks ago to give me a nice background.  What do you think?  Pretty enough to eat?  The Boyd boys thought so!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I had so much fun with this week's Scavenger Hunt.  I love this project because it helps me to see things differently, take pictures of things I normally wouldn't take, and capture moments that I would've missed if I wasn't looking for something specific.

(Love my boy's big brown eyes.)

(I like that you can see the shape of this plant in the shadow, even though only a few flowers are showing.)

Spicy
(I would never ever dare eat anything spicy, so at least I got to put this pepper to good use with this shot.)

Gold
(I took this picture in the morning through my frosty bedroom window.  I like the effect.)

Fabric
(This is a fabric picture frame that I WISH I could say I made...I didn't.)

Tutorial Tuesday

This week's tutorial from Ashley Sisk was all about turning a photograph into a watercolor picture in Photoshop.  I had a lot of fun playing around with this, especially because I learned new things in CS5!  I love to learn new things...it's my favorite.  I know there are so many cool and wonderful things that PS can do, but I don't know how to do them...so this was really a fun little learning experience.

Here is my original picture.  I chose this picture because I really, really love it and I wanted to see what it would look like all water color-ified.
