Project Life - Week 12
- Caden has a special friend at preschool. Her name is Faith, and her hair color is "vanilla". He tells me all the time how much she loves him, and apparently it's true. His teacher told me that Faith is very quiet, but she just lights up and comes to life when he is around. So cute. I was going to make Faith's mom my new BFF, but then I found out last week that she's not yet even 30. Snaps. It's over before it got started.
- Caden has been requesting that I style his hair like Justin "Beaver". Except he calls it "woodchuck" hair, but I know what he means. Bieber, beaver, woodchuck...they're all the same. I think his new found interest in his physical appearance may have something to do with paragraph 1.
- Chase told me today that he was stuffed with joy. He's been on restriction this week from playing outside after trying to let himself into the neighbor's house, causing them to think their house was broken into, causing a visit to the Boyd household from the police. This little brush with the law has thoroughly frightened me, but Chase remains unaffected by it, as he tried the same shenanigans again two days later. Thusly, he's been grounded from playing outside for a full week, which does not make him stuffed with joy. Quite the opposite. I think the joy stuffing sentiment was referring to the pizza he had just eaten. I liked his phrasing though.
- Gramma brought a turtle necklace home from Hawaii for each of the boys. Cole has been wearing his non-stop. He told me the other day that he plans to never ever take it off. I think he's serious. He also takes great joy in scaring me by jumping out in front of me when I'm not expecting it. The other day he got me so bad, that I tinkled a little. Truth. The first few times he did this it was funny, now it's just frightening. I walk around in sheer terror that any minute he's going to strike. Of course, he never does it when I'm prepared for it. He manages to time it when my guard is down. It's most unsettling.
- Chad and I were having lunch together, and I happened to have a tiny bit of food in my mouth when a sneeze escaped me. A tiny noodle fell out of my mouth during the sneeze. Not very ladylike, true, but my husband responded as if it was the grossest, most horrible thing he had ever seen. The man is a hunter and probably skins wild boar with his bare hands (I can't be sure of this as we have a mutual understanding that he must never speak to me of his grotesque barbarian ways), but I highly doubt that a tiny piece of noodle falling on the floor from my face deserved the reaction it got. It still makes me laugh when I think about it. For such a beast, he is awfully fragile.
- The above paragraphs have absolutely nothing to do with my pictures this week.

Project Life - Week 11
Yikes. I'm a little late this week. I'm trying super hard to stay on top of my PL weekly, so I don't get too far behind and then have another caper like 2011. Poor 2011, I'm only midway through the year, and it doesn't appear after all that hard work that I'm going to go back and finish it. I'm not even going to talk about 2012. Oh 2013, only 41 more weeks to keep up with. We can do this.

Guess Who???
Guess who received the Honorable Hawk Award this month?
Chase Ryan Boyd, that's who.
Chase Ryan Boyd, that's who.
This month the theme was risk taking and inquisitiveness. My son isn't known at home for his risk taking tendencies, so I'm so happy that he's getting comfortable enough at school to take a leap sometimes.
Congratulations, Chase! We are so so so so proud of you!!
We love you, we adore you, we are glad you are our's.

A Baby Shower
Today we celebrated Molly and Avery. I can't wait to meet the tiny baby.
Try as she might, I still got a few (two) pictures of Momma Molly. No one hates having their pictures taken as much as this girl. She usually flips the camera off. I'm not joking.
Pretty girls...
A soon to be BIG sister!
(I didn't do any editing on Carys...these are her natural sparkly, beautiful eyes!)

She was very, very excited about all the gifts, even the receipts!
Carys brought her little friend, Belle.
I love her. I like to pretend she is mine. I've done so since she was a tiny baby.
I will probably continue to do so. I really really love this little girl.

Hurry up, April 8th, so we can meet the next beautiful Galassi girl!
