Coco Puff's birthday weekend

Coco Puff turned 9 this weekend.  I know everyone says this, but the time really does go by so fast.  We watched a few videos tonight of the boys when they were little.  It seems so long ago that they were so tiny, and yet they are still my babies.  I'm sure I'll feel the same way when they're in their 30's.

Breakfast of birthday champions?  Cinnamon rolls.

Lunch time favorite eats?  Red Robin.  (But so so embarrassed being sung too.  I guess 9 is too old for those shenanigans.)

In the evening, we followed tradition by grabbing some treats and hot chocolate, and then driving around to look at Christmas lights.  Surprisingly, the Boyd boys still get super excited about the sparkly lights.  I love that.

Today, his official birthday, we partied at Laser Tag.  Cole's been wanting a party there for two years now, so he was very very excited.
9 sparkly candles on the half frosted, half non-frosted birthday cake.  (Cole's decided he doesn't like frosting.  Not sure he's truly my son.)

And his favorite gift?  From Gramma, a hoody that zips up to make a face.  He wanted one of these soooooo badly.  So so badly.  Thank you, Gramma.  And thank you to all our friends and family that celebrated Cole.

Cole, we love you so much.  You are smart, funny, cool, kind, thoughtful, imaginative, sweet to your mom, a good singer, a Lego builder extraordinaire, a specialist of reptiles and amphibians, and Cringle loves you more than he loves anyone else.  You are also really good at making up your own knock knock jokes. It is good to be YOU!  It is even better to call you mine.  I love you, love you, love you.
