Pumpkin Patch

Here are some highlights from 2011's trip to the pumpkin patch.

We strapped on our rubber boots and made way to the muddy muddy field of pumpkins.
(I like the lone clean, pink girly pair of boots amidst the sea of masculine dirty footwear.)

spider rings

Alice in Wonderland's castle.

Caden blended in nicely with the rest of the pumpkins.

Then he face planted right into a mud puddle.  He was none to happy about this.  It didn't help that he desperately wanted a hug from me, but he was so dirty and I was more interested in taking a picture.
Poor buddy.

Do you like my sparkly Happy Halloween shirt?  Yep, I'm that mom.  Bedazzled.

The famous duck races.  Notice the intense faces.  It's serious business.

I told the boys to show me their scariest faces for these next few shots.  Here are their attempts.
(Chase had it down.)

Our first stop upon our arrival was the sling shot area.  Our first attempts were an epic fail.  But when we were getting ready to leave, Chad just couldn't accept another loss for the 2nd year in a row.
So we headed back for one last try. . .

Caden gave Daddy a good luck hug.

And it worked!
Chad and Cole hit the target and won an enormous pumpkin!
Victory is so sweet!

More celebrating...

And even more...

Winner's circle!  I ♥ teamboyd!

We had so much fun!  However, the ending was a bit of a downer for Caden.  He was somehow under the impression that because we went to the pumpkin patch, that it was also Halloween.  He was quite depressed when it became dark outside that it wasn't time to go gather candy from the neighbors.  He was still weeping about it at bed time.  My cute baby!

Super cute pics Holly. I, for one, love your bedazzled halloween shirt, and I fully intend to board that train when the time comes. Your boys are going to have so many great pictures of all the funthings they did growing up. LOVE the celebrating, and the muddy nose :)
