Chase got to see his "big kid" preschool today for an orientation. I was wondering how this would go because his old preschool is also his Sunday school - so he's very familiar and comfortable there - and I wasn't sure if he'd be too keen on walking into unfamiliar surroundings in the name of "preschool". We've been talking it up for months now that Sunshine Mountain is his "big kid" school, but I still pictured him putting up a little (or perhaps large) protest when we finally got there that this indeed was not his preschool. But lo and behold, the boy walked right in and made himself at home. He confidently introduced himself to his new teacher as Chase Ryan Boyd (he tells everyone his entire name when anyone asks him; formalities are evidently important to him), and then away he went to happily play in his new digs. I can't wait to post future blogs about his adventures at Sunshine Mountain (or Shonshine Mountain, as Chase would say). He'll also be going to school with his future wife, Carys Galassi, and that should make for some fun stories to share. Until then, here are some pictures of his introduction to Shonshine Mountain.

I've heard nothing but great comments about this preschool. Wishing him a great year with all of his friends.
As I look at the pictures I'm thinking "how could he NOT love it"! So many fun things to explore!
I too have heard nothing but wonderful things about this preschool. I'm sure Chase will have a great year. Kudo's to you & Chad for being willing to explore!
Looking forward to hearing more about Chasey Wasey's (that's my nickname for him) new school.
Is Chase aware that he is already betrothed?
I just love how you always make sure to be in some of the pictures of your kids big moments. I always fail to do this, but will try to follow your example. I guess I'm just always sure that I'll ruin the picture!
I didn't know Chase would be going to school with Carys!!! That's GREAT!!!!
Chase, your teacher is a lucky woman. Love, Gramma
