Last Day of Summer Jubilee

I always feel very sad when summer is over and it's time for the boys to head back to school.  I love having them home with me, and I love the relaxed pace.  I was really drowning in my own sorrows on the last day of summer.  Of course, I didn't want the boys to see that and have it taint their attitudes about returning to school, so we decided to party down and make our last day together a real jubilee of summer time fun.

It started with chocolate chip waffles on the couch whilst playing free video games.

Then we took care of some administration business (haircuts).

We went to lunch at Red Robin.

Hit the park for a couple of hours.

Did a little off trail adventuring.

Stopped at our favorite treat store.

Made back to school cupcakes for our neighbors (and ourselves).  Cole was the delivery guy.  He LOVED it!

Ate a real dinner.  (Lots of hot dogs and sandwiches this summer).

Put on our new night before school jammies.

Ended the day snuggling up with Dad to read books about Kindergarten.

Everyone was in bed by 8:00.
