Scavenger Hunt - Birthday in Seattle Edition

How fun is this?  Today I was truly on a real life scavenger hunt through Pioneer Square with some of my favorite girls to celebrate a friend's birthday.  It was so fun.  I'm not known for my adventurous nature, but it was a total kick in the pants to wander around the streets of Seattle trying to decode mysterious clues to find interesting treasures in the nooks and crannies of Pioneer Square.  I will not tell you that I was on the losing team.  Not gonna mention that.  I will tell you that it was an added bonus to tie in SHS with my real life scavenger hunt.

I was actually standing in the middle of the road facing oncoming traffic for this one.  A tad scary.

One of these fine gentlemen was concerned about my location in said road, asked to see the picture I was taking, and then volunteered his friend to pose for my silly prompt.  I love that.

Thank you to my girls for a really fun and adventurous day...there is a great big world outside of my five mile radius.  I should get out there more often.  And Happy Birthday to my AZB!

I Heart Faces June Photo Challenge - All Boy

Seriously, what could be more ALL BOY than this cute little gremlin sprawled out, face-first in the mud?  I knew when I saw the theme this month that I had to enter, given that I am surrounded by many males.
(One husband, three boy children, and one male pug.  I am surrounded.)
But instead of entering a cute and cuddly (and clean) picture of one of my boys and our dog, I decided to enter what epitomizes boys...dirt, dirt, and more dirt.  This is all boy...for real.

Chase came rolling in from the garage in his Daddy's helmet.  Ready for speed!  I haven't seen this helmet in many years (not sure where Chase dug it up from), but it totally reminded me of all the fun Chad and I used to have riding around...much to my parents' dismay.  Pre-marriage, pre-babies, pre-dating...it took me back.

Cole left this for me on his bed today.  He really thought I wouldn't be able to figure out who the 'mistry man' was that wrote me such a mysterious note.  He makes me laugh...my favorite mistry man.
